Abstract

Main Objective: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model untuk menjelaskan bagaimana Financial Service Industry mengevaluasi teknologi blockchain. Background problem: Minat Financial Service Industry terhadap blockchain tumbuh karena unsur transparansi, keamanan, dan kepercayaan yang diakui yang menghasilkan lebih dari triliunan dalam dana modal ventura yang dikumpulkan oleh perusahaan blockchain sebagian besar dari bank pada paruh pertama tahun 2017. Novelty: Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pembuatan model Proof of Value untuk menjelaskan proses yang dilakukan organisasi untuk mengevaluasi blockchain. Organisasi yang mengevaluasi blockchain dapat memanfaatkan model Proof of Value untuk wawasan dan kejelasan terkait potensi penggunaan blockchain dalam sebuah bisnis. Research Method: Studi ini menggunakan metodologi grounded theory dengan mengumpulkan data dari wawancara semi-terstruktur dari peserta yang terlibat dalam evaluasi blockchain di organisasi Jasa Keuangan. Finding/Result: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa organisasi memahami cara kerja teknologi, organisasi juga mampu mengatur sumber daya untuk mengevaluasi, mengidentifikasi kasus penggunaan, dan menerapkan strategi untuk mengujinya. Conclusion: Secara total, 19 individu yang mewakili 12 organisasi berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini dan memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana organisasi mereka mengevaluasi teknologi blockchain. Penelitian ini menciptakan peluang untuk mengembangkan penelitian masa depan seputar topik inovasi teknologi. Saat organisasi menghadapi gangguan terus-menerus, terutama dari inovasi digital, maka organisasi tersebut harus secara bersamaan berinovasi agar tetap relevan dan meningkatkan cara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan mereka.
